GREEN DESIGN
We must all view our planet’s environment as the primary, permanent home of all living beings in which we exist, are nourished, reproduce, and have thrived for years. Humans have transformed the natural environment to suit ourselves since the industrial revolution in the mid-eighteenth century, sometimes exploiting its surroundings, sometimes consuming natural resources severely, and in other cases contaminating the environment. Some argue that we have inherited unfavorable Global Warming, that the ozone layer has been reduced, and that we now live in a harmful atmosphere. Furthermore, natural calamities occur on a daily basis all around the world.

We should make the most of these assets, fostering interdependency between buildings and the natural environment, because nature provides us with ample energy and resources for both its and our advantage.
